Car hesitates and shakes at acceleration causing risk of accident. 6 months ago it started doing it and I put new tires on it because the old tires had a few bubbles on them. This is what I've got done to try to fix the problem, rotated tires, got front tires rebalanced, checked for bulging in tires (techs found none). Typically the "Super Beetle Shimmy" will show up as a front end shake in the 40-50mph range, typically it's worst at 45mph or so. Accelerate turning right, wobble…right cv axle failing. When this happens, the car will exhibit "torque bind" symptoms, which manifest as apparent hesitation, wheel hop or shaking when the car is going around a tight corner/turn at low speed. Does this mean that the front of the car where the engine is located becomes lighter than the rear during acceleration?. Sometimes when the engine gets warmed up it shakes at idle but goes away and comes back. When you accelerate, the front end raises up, the half shafts go from being nearly level to angling down towards the wheels. Third gear is the worst and it starts at 47mph and ends at 60mph. Looking for a little help with this one because it honestly has me going a bit crazy. I believe I have warped front rotors, because of a shake/shimmy when I am slowing down to stop. They said they rotated the front drive shaft 180% and reinstalled it. This week I solved a problem with my E39 M5 having a vibration at highway speeds.
